Forecast For Compression

What a difference a year makes. 2016 went on record as one of the most challenging years the oil and gas industry has experienced in quite some time. Massive layoffs, drastic cuts in capital expenditure, and continued low oil prices led to a permanent reshaping of the oil and gas landscape. Fast forward to 2017 and companies are operating more efficiently than ever before, jobs are returning, and oil and gas prices have begun a slow but steady rise. While challenges remain, most agree that industry-wide recovery has begun.

What follows is not crystal ball science or wild predictions about what is to come. Rather, we examine some of the myriad factors that influence the gas compression landscape and report on our findings.
