KB Delta Manufacturing (KB Delta) has expanded its Torrance, California, USA, headquarters, increasing its manufacturing, inventory, and office space to support its growth in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket compressor valve parts business.
“We continue to receive tremendous interest from OEMs globally,” said George Giourof, chief operating officer at KB Delta. “Within the past 36 months we’ve increased our manufacturing capabilities by investing in new machinery. We’ve increased our second shift and went to a seven-day manufacturing week. We’ve invested in new technologies to continually improve our quality control measures. As a result, we were bursting at the seams.”
“We made the decision to expand into a second building and move our steel division into a 15,000 sq.ft. (1393 m3) facility. There we manufacture springs, steel valve plates, damper plates, spring plates, wafer plates, cushion plates, valve rings, as well as some of our seats and guards,” said Zoran Maslovaric, chief financial officer. “Building one is a 20,000 sq.ft. (1858 m3) facility that is dedicated to KB Delta’s thermoplastic plates and rings. Each facility includes quality control laborites, office space, and an incredible amount of inventory that is ready to ship.”
Founded in 1982, KB Delta’s product offering has grown into a comprehensive portfolio of critical compressor parts manufactured out of steel, thermoplastics, and other custom materials targeting the natural gas, air, and P.E.T. industries worldwide. Celebrating more than 35 years in business, the company attributes its success to a company-wide emphasis on quality, deliverability, and price.
“We continually invest in machinery, technology, and our employees to improve all of our processes to ensure that our products and services meet and exceed OEM expectations,” said Boris Giourof, founder and CEO of KB Delta. “Each of our products is backed by over 100 years of combined engineering and compressor repair experience. This ensures KB Delta has a thorough understanding of each part’s function and critical design features which results in parts that perform as the OEM intended or better, at a price that is unmatched by OEMs.”
KB Delta utilizes an array of manufacturing tools and CAD software to prepare customer feasibility studies, design, prototype, and fast scale up commercialization of products.
“We do everything on site,” said Ivica Grozdic, vice president of manufacturing and quality control. “Our in-house injection molding machines, exclusive molds, metallic laser cutters, CNC machines, spring coilers, proprietary equipment, and our attention to detail are the tools and qualities allowing us to provide durable, and stress-free components. We pride ourselves on having 100% interchangeable OEM and aftermarket products.”
