Elliott Group will supply cryogenic rotating equipment for the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project in Jefferson County, Texas. Elliott was awarded the contract by Bechtel Energy Inc., which has been contracted to perform the detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, performance testing, and operator training activities for the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project. Elliott will supply cryogenic pumps, expanders, boil-off gas (BOG) compressors, and end flash gas (EFG) compressors for the project, which is being developed by Sempra Infrastructure.
The Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 includes two natural gas liquefaction trains capable of producing up to approximately 13.5 MTPA of liquefied natural gas (LNG), up to three LNG storage tanks, and ancillary support facilities to liquefy and load LNG onto ships. The project is using a portion of Sempra’s property along the Sabine-Neches ship channel in Port Arthur, Texas, that provides direct access to the Gulf of Mexico.
