Baker Hughes has received a Full Notice To Proceed from Technip Energies on behalf of Commonwealth LNG to supply primary liquefaction equipment for Commonwealth LNG’s 9.5 MTPA export facility currently under development in Cameron, Louisiana (see “Baker Hughes Compressors For Commonwealth LNG,” September 5, 2025).
The award includes six refrigerant turbo compressors comprising LM9000 aeroderivative gas turbines paired with centrifugal compressors.
Commonwealth LNG is developing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the west bank of the Calcasieu Ship Channel on the US Gulf Coast of Louisiana. The facility will have five 50,000 m3 storage tanks and will be able to accommodate vessels up to 216,000 m3. Gas supply is via construction of a 3.0-mile pipeline interconnected to two major pipeline systems with significant excess transportation capacity.
