Southeast Supply Header LLC (SESH) has filed an application with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeking authorization for its Tupelo Trail Project spanning Mississippi Louisiana. The project is designed to provide 110,000 dekatherms per day of additional natural gas transportation capacity to SESH’s existing interconnect with Southern Company’s Plant Daniel electric generation facility in Jackson County, Mississippi. The additional capacity will support growing power generation demand, grid reliability and Southern Company’s conversion of an existing coal-fired generating unit to natural gas. The project has a scheduled in–service date of February 1, 2029.

At the Lucedale Compressor Station in George County, Mississippi, SESH plans to install a new 23,470 hp (17,508 kW) Solar Titan 130 turbine-driven centrifugal compressor package and associated fuel gas, control, and auxiliary systems. The company also proposes replacing the compressor on the station’s existing Mars 100 unit and uprating that unit from 15,000 hp to 16,000 hp (11,190 kW to 11,936 kW, bringing Lucedale’s total design horsepower to 39,470 hp. (29,444 kW) Seven new air-cooled heat exchanger bays are also planned, including four for the Titan 130 and three supporting the uprated Mars 100.

At the Gwinville Compressor Station in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi, SESH plans to replace the engine on Compressor Unit 2 with a new 16,000 hp Mars 100 and add cooling capacity. The station’s two Mars 100 units will be uprated from a combined 30,000 hp to 32,000 hp (22,380 kW to 23,872 kW).

SESH will also uprate three existing Mars 100 units at the Delhi Compressor Station in Richland Parish, Louisiana, by removing software horsepower limitations, increasing total station design horsepower from 45,000 hp to 48,000 hp (33,570 kW to 35,808 kW).
