Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC (Natural) is seeking FERC authorization for its Amarillo Expansion Project. Targeted for completion in September 2028, the project will add 321,200 dekatherms per day of incremental firm natural gas transportation capacity. Combined with existing unsubscribed capacity, the project will provide 550,000 dekatherms per day of firm transportation service to support electric power generation, including a new gas-fired power plant serving a planned data center in Deaf Smith County, Texas.

The project includes construction of Compressor Station 112 in Moore County, Texas, equipped with four Caterpillar 3616-driven, 5500-hp (4103 kW) compressor units totaling 22,000 hp (16,412 kW). Associated facilities will include additional gas cooling equipment, a motor control building, filter separator, and station yard piping, as well as a new delivery point in Deaf Smith County. Natural expects to place the project in service by September 2028.
