Continued Growth For Archrock

Archrock Services LP, a member of the Archrock Inc. family of companies, has expanded its dedicated turbocharger facility in McPherson, Kansas, USA.

The McPherson facility, which has been in operation since 1991, is the headquarters of Archrock’s Turbocharger operations. The new addition creates total work space of 26,750 sq.ft. (2485 m2) with an additional 15,000 sq.ft. (1394 m2) of warehouse and inventory space.

“Strong market demand and unprecedented growth created the need for additional work space,” said Mitch Opat, Manager of Archrock’s turbo group. “The McPherson facility is unique in the fact that the sole focus is on turbochargers, blowers, and rotating equipment. The turbo group supports Archrock’s fleet along with a vast number of end users, dealers, resellers and service contractors.”

The McPherson operation performs manufacturing, remanufacturing, repairs, and testing of industrial turbochargers and serves as a global sourcing hub for gas compression, power generation, railroad, renewable energy, marine, petrochemical, and other markets.

Archrock provides turbocharger parts and service to every major industry, engine fuel type and application, slow speed to high speed,” said Opat. “The turbo group services turbochargers weighing from 50 lbs. (23 Kg) to 13,000 lbs. (5897 Kg).”

Primary service offerings at the McPherson facility include new replacement turbochargers and parts, remanufactured turbochargers and parts, repair and return options, along with exchange options. “A full array of machining capabilities cover milling, turning and cylindrical grinding of the various size parts,” said Opat. “Four different balancing machines are incorporated into the service mix. The weld shop performs extensive specialized weld repairs.”
