Burckhardt Compression (Burckhardt) was selected by a steelmaking mill in Europe to convert one of its plants into a sustainable facility in compliance with environmental guidelines. The project involved reviving four inactive non-Burckhardt compressors. Burckhardt’s range of services included inspection and revamp, updating the instrumentation, performing calculations for increasing discharge pressure, and supplying necessary spare parts. In addition to the compressors, Burckhardt also revamped auxiliary equipment such as electrical motors and lube oil coolers.
