Midwestern Gas Transmission Company, a subsidiary of ONEOK Inc., has placed its Herscher Compressor Station Project into service. The US$ 25 million project will provide 125 MMcf/d of capacity to serve markets in the U.S. Midwest.
Midwestern Gas Transmission consists in a 350-mile operation of natural gas pipelines extending from Portland, Tennessee, to Joliet, Illinois, USA.
Midwestern originally filed with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in February 2015 proposing to construct and operate the 15,000 hp Herscher Compressor Station Project in Kankakee County, Illinois, USA, allowing up to 125 MMcf/d of firm natural gas transportation on its system. Midwestern deliveries in Illinois are primarily composed of contracts at Nicor Gas and Peoples Gas.
