SNC-Lavalin To Build Compressor Stations In Colombia

SNC-Lavalin been awarded a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the International Gas Transportation Company — TGI SA ESP (TGI). TGI is a service company that provides gas transportation through a network of 2458 miles (3957 km) of pipeline extending from the Guajira to the Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

The US$35 million contract includes the design, supply, construction, commissioning, and start-up of two compressor stations over a 12-month period, to enable TGI to increase its transportation capacity by 32 MMscfd (906,139 m3/d) between the cities of Paratebueno and Villavicencio in Colombia. All major equipment will be designed and fabricated at SNC-Lavalin’s facilities in Sealy, Texas.
