Zorya-Mashproekt has supplied three, 16-MW DG90L2.1 gas turbines for Ukrtransgaz’s Hrebinkivska compressor station in Poltava, Ukraine.
Ukrtransgaz, a natural gas transmission and storage company in Ukraine, is undergoing upgrades across its compressor fleet. Ukrtransgaz’ gas transportation network is a 23,9553-mi. (38,550 km) system of continuously operational trunk pipelines and branches. According to the company, Ukrtransgaz has 702 gas compressor units across 72 compressors stations with a total capacity of 5440 MW. The makeup of its compressor fleet includes 448 gas turbine driven compressors, 158 electric motor driven compressors, and 96 gas engine driven compressors.
“As part of the modernization of the Hrebinkivska station, second generation DZh59 gas turbines will be replaced by DG90 units having a higher efficiency, which will significantly reduce fuel consumption,” said a member of Zorya Mashproekt’s press office. “For the reconstruction of the Hrebinkivska compressor station, Zorya-Mashproekt will also supply modern digital automatic control systems and fuel systems.”
