Stress Engineering Services Inc. (SES) has appointed Brent Vyvial as principal and lead of its midstream practice. In this new position, Vyvial will oversee the midstream group, manage project and personnel activity, and coordinate business development within the practice.
Vyvial joined SES in 2006 as an analyst. His research activities at the company have included studies associated with design of subsea flowlines and SCRs using the strain-based rules of API RP 1111; investigations of composite pipeline repair systems at elevated temperatures conducted for manufacturers and pipeline operators; and numerous full-scale test programs to evaluate pipeline anomalies.
Vyvial holds a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
