From 1 To 60K

Ariel Corporation (Ariel) has shipped its 60,000th compressor. The KBK/4 reciprocating compressor is being packaged in Houston, USA, by Enerflex Inc., Ariel’s distributor headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

“Enerflex has been a long-time business partner of Ariel’s and has had a significant role in the dominance that the JGK played in the market when it was originally released roughly 30 years ago,” said Robert Drews, director of marketing at Ariel. “Appropriately, Enerflex secured the first orders for the KBK/4 when it was released 15 months ago (see “Ariel’s New KBK”, June 2018 Gas Compression Magazine, p.33) and now is packaging Ariel’s serial-number 60,000, which just happens to be a KBK/4J.”

The 60,000th unit will be packaged at Enerflex’s Houston facility and delivered to Southeast New Mexico, USA, where it will be a part of a Sendero Midstream gas gathering system with 30 to 80 psi (2.06 to 5.51 bar) suction pressure, discharge pressure up to 1300 psi (89.63 bar), and a maximum flow rate of 13 MMSCFD (368,119 m3/d).
