The Global Petroleum Show has changed its name to the Global Energy Show. Reflecting the industry’s continued evolution, the annual event will continue to showcase oil and gas technologies and will now also encompass alternative sources. The rebrand comes in advance of the 54th annual show, which will take place June 9 to 11 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
“As we launch this rebrand, we are upholding the Global Energy Show’s reputation of showcasing the best in energy and innovative technologies from top suppliers, with more than 700 exhibitors across five exhibit halls and growing,” said Nick Samain, vice president, dmg events, organizer of the Global Energy Show. “We want to leverage our platform to share how Canadian energy companies are not only transforming with the industry but also leading the dialogue and making meaningful contributions on the global stage.”
Each year, the show brings together more than 50,000 industry professionals from more than 110 countries for a three-day exhibition and conference. With the rebrand, the show strives to draw global attention to the increasing pace of technology that is driving growth in sustainable energy production.
“Canada continues to be one of the most important and reliable energy producers in the world—and Alberta is at the epicenter of it,” said Samain. “Through the Global Energy Show, we want to convince the world that Alberta and Canada are great places to invest and do business in—whether that opportunity lies with oil and gas or new and emerging sectors. As we strive to meet global energy demands, the Canadian energy sector must continue to diversify, innovate and expand into new avenues for growth.”
