BW LNG and Burckhardt Compression signed a 10-year service agreement covering nine liquefied natural (LNG) gas carriers with Laby-GI compressors on board. The scope of the service agreement covers scheduled maintenance of the compressors, dedicated supervision, as well as preventive maintenance via remote diagnostics, field services, and fleet management for 10 years. The Burckhardt Compression fleet manager will monitor, together with technical experts, the performance of the units and continuously optimize the maintenance cycles in line with the operational requirements of the crew. Compressor maintenance will be carried out during vessel operations for maximum efficiency. All nine LNG carriers are ME-GI powered and equipped with Laby-GI Compressors for boil-off gas management.
“This long-term service agreement is an important milestone for us,” said Marcel Pawlicek, CEO at Burckhardt Compression. “We are proud to provide not only strong compressor technology but also tailormade service solutions together with and for our partner BW LNG. We are confident that this arrangement will ensure safe and smooth operations for the vessels and their crews on board.”
