
Chart Industries Inc. (Chart) has acquired L.A. Turbine, is a global player in turboexpander design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and testing process for new and aftermarket equipment.
Chart is an independent global manufacturer of highly engineered equipment servicing multiple applications in the energy and industrial gas markets. Its product portfolio is used throughout the liquid gas supply chain, including upfront engineering, service, and repair. With L.A. Turbine now in its portfolio, Chart is able to offer a more comprehensive “one stop shop” solution, expanding its offerings in applications such as hydrogen and helium liquefaction, carbon capture and energy storage, industrial gas, natural gas processing, small-scale LNG plants, propane dehydrogenation plants, heavy hydrocarbon removal process for LNG plants, and petrochemical.

Headquartered in Valencia, California, L.A. Turbine designs and manufactures application-specific, highly engineered turboexpanders used in hydrocarbon processing, geothermal power generation, industrial gas, power-recovery and refrigeration applications. The company’s global FX-TURBO field service team provides 24/7 aftermarket repair, redesign, and maintenance for all turboexpander brands and configurations.
