POWERGEN Postponed

Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, POWERGEN 2022 has been rescheduled. The annual event will no longer take place in January. It will now take place May 23 to 25, 2022. The venue remains the same — the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

Event organizers released the following statement:

We are reaching out today to announce that the upcoming POWERGEN International, scheduled to take place on January 26-28, 2022, has been rescheduled and will now take place May 23-25, 2022, at the same location, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX. We are extremely grateful that our partners in Dallas approached us with the dates available in May that could accommodate our event and allow us to deliver against our promise of providing value to all customers.

As you can imagine this decision did not come easily and we have put thoughtful consideration into our next steps. With the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, we have had open and honest discussions with our exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and attendees over the past few days. At this time many companies still have travel bans in place that are impacting their decision to travel to events. We respect those health and safety decisions being made and are confident that delaying the event until May will deliver an environment where people feel safe to reconnect face-to-face and business can be done.

Updated Event Schedule:

  • Monday, May 23: Conference Sessions, Exhibit Hall Open, Opening Reception
  • Tuesday, May 24: Conference Sessions, Exhibit Hall Open, Leadership Summit, Power Play Networking Reception
  • Wednesday, May 25: Conference Sessions, Exhibit Hall Open, Leadership Summit

With this event being just around the corner, we recognize the impact and wanted to notify you as soon as possible so you could take care of planning on your end. As an exhibitor, your booth space and/or any sponsorship packages remain unchanged. With respect to our obligations to each other under the contract for the Event (the “Contract”), kindly note the following:

  • the change of date is made pursuant to clause 26 (Cancellation or Changes to Event) to re-schedule the dates of the Event, as referenced above; and
  • by way of reassurance, pursuant to clause 27 (Consequences of Variation) your booking for the Event under the Contract remains unaffected and continues to apply to the new dates of the Event.

We are working closely with appropriate vendors on the next steps and will be sending further communications in the days ahead. If you booked your hotel through Connections housing, your room(s) will be canceled without penalty. There is no need to contact the hotels or Connections Housing. They will be in touch with you directly over the next few weeks to rebook your hotel for May. Registrations will be valid for the new dates; no action is needed. We will continue to communicate with you directly and update any changes to the event program on our websites.

We have put together the following Exhibitor FAQs to help answer some initial question or concerns you may have. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your sales account representative.
