Golden Pass Pipeline LLC (GPPL) has received a favorable environmental impact statement from Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for its MP 33 Compressor Station Modification project located in Orange County, Texas. As part of the project, GPPL seeks to increase the authorized compression at the Vidor Compressor Station from 17,994 to 37,101 hp (13,424 to 27,677 kW), add three new interconnects and appurtenant facilities adjacent to the MP 33 Compressor Station, and eliminate receipt facilities at the existing AEP Texoma delivery interconnect on GPPL’s existing system. The purpose of this project is to enable GPPL to receive gas from new pipeline interconnections to facilitate the upstream supply arrangements.
The revised compression at the Vidor Compressor Station will consist of one 19,325-hp (14,416-kW) Solar Titan 130-23502S compressor (C51-ML family). The other two compressor units will be 8888-hp (6630-kW) Solar Taurus 70-10802S compressors (C406B).
