Capstone Green Energy Corp. (Capstone) has secured an order for two C65 microturbine systems from an independent upstream oil and gas company in Malaysia. The microturbines will be deployed at an unstaffed offshore platform on the northwest coast of Malaysia and serve as the primary power source.
The new microturbine systems will run on raw associated gas released from the wellhead. The installation will be fully automated and operate remotely. The new system will replace a Calnetix Power Solutions TA100 microturbine currently at the site.
