Elliott Opens Saudi Arabia Repair Shop

Elliott Group has opened Elliott Gas Services Saudi Arabia (EGSSA). The new 30,000 sq.ft. (2800 m2) repair shop is located in Damman, in close proximity to a large installed base of turbomachinery in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. It will offer inspection and repair services for both Elliott and non-Elliott equipment including single- and multi-stage steam turbines and compressors, process expanders and associated equipment, and rotor assemblies. It is the product of a joint venture between Elliott and GAS Arabian Services. EGSSA, which was formed in 2011, identified the need for an in-country facility to service and repair turbomachinery.

“The opening of this repair shop marks a significant step forward in supporting our customers with a competent local repair team,” said Robert Johnson, operations manager at Elliott. “It will allow Elliott more flexibility to combine field service with repair work. It will not only strengthen our position but allow us to grow our relationships with customers.”

Elliott Group designs, manufactures, and services centrifugal and axial compressors, steam turbines, power recovery expanders, and cryogenic pumps and expanders used in the petrochemical, refining, oil and gas, and liquefied gas industries, as well as in power applications. The company employs 2300 people in 30 locations around the world.

GAS Arabian Services offers products and services in automation, instrumentation, field services, mechanical, piping and static, and project management for the oil and gas, petrochemical, electrical, steel, water and desalination, and mining industries in Saudi Arabia.
