Bauer Compressors Inc. (Bauer) has announced plans to expand its US headquarters. Bauer will invest US$7.4 million at its Norfolk, Virginia, facility to increase production capacity of hydrogen and natural gas compressors.
A subsidiary of Munich-based Bauer Kompressoren Group, Bauer was founded in 1976. The current 155,000 sq.ft. (14,400 m2) Norfolk facility serves as headquarters for North and South America. Specializing in gas injection technology, natural gas and inert gas compression, as well as compressed air applications, Bauer’s natural gas compressors are available with capacities from 5 to 161 scfm (0.14 to 4.55 m3) with working pressures up to 5000 psig (344 bar) and with power requirements from 5 to 125 hp (3.73 to 93.25 kW).
