SIAD has designed four compressors for a biorefinery in Venice to be utilized in hydrogen production. The order includes three model HPS2-1 compressors with horizontal balanced opposed cylinders. Each unit will be powered by a 450-kW electric motor. In addition, SIAD will provide one model WS1-1 compressor with a vertical cylinder and powered by a 45-kW electric motor.

All the compressors and process coolers will be cooled by a common water console with special titanium plate using sea water. The project’s main objective is to increase the availability of hydrogen of the biorefinery, significantly reducing the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere.
