Menzel Elektromotoren has opened its new 258,334 sq.ft. (24,000 m2) headquarters near Berlin. The German manufacturer is a global provider of industrial motors and custom drive systems. The new facility incorporates production facilities that have been purpose-built for efficient processes and larger, heavier machines. The new plant’s paint shops and test cells can accommodate larger motor configurations.
“This move will ring in a new era in the history of our family business,” said Mathis Menzel, CEO. “The new plant is tailored to our requirements in every detail: generously proportioned logistics and production areas, continuous crane accessibility with an 80-ton lifting capacity – that will enable us to achieve streamlined production processes, to schedule and complete customer projects even more flexibly and reliably, and it will properly set us up for the future as the international headquarters of our group.”
Menzel Elektromotoren manufactures new motors with outputs up to 25 MW and stocks motor variants up to 15 MW. The company also offers testing of motors, generators, and rotary converter sets. Menzel Elektromotoren motors to drive compressors are available up to an output of 20000 kW and operating voltages of 13800 V. Its motors comply with the current standards EN60034, IEC60034, VDE, DIN, and ISO.
