Rover Pipeline LLC (Rover) is seeking US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approval to construct, own, and operate the Rover–Sunny Farms Receipt and Delivery Meter Station Project. The project will be located within and adjacent to the existing Rover Mainline pipeline easement in Hancock County, Ohio.
Rover recently executed an Interconnect Agreement with Vision Renewable Natural Gas Seneca LLC (Vision) for installation of the proposed meter station. The Vision RNG Seneca Renewable Natural Gas Project (Vision Project) will convert landfill gas to pipeline-quality renewable natural gas. The objective of the Vision Project is to create a more sustainable energy infrastructure that will provide renewable natural gas (RNG) supply options to Rover shippers in the mid-west United States. The purpose of the proposed meter station would be to allow Rover to receive up to 6269 dekatherms per day of natural gas from the Vision Project and to allow Rover to deliver up to 7893 dekatherms per day of natural gas to fuel the Vision RNG facility equipment.
Under the terms of the agreement, Rover will construct, own, and operate one receipt and one delivery meter station. The receipt meter station will consist of one hot tap, one tap valve, approximately 45 ft. (13.7 m) of interconnecting pipe, one Coriolis Meter Skid, a gas quality/measurement building, and satellite communications. The delivery meter station will consist of one hot tap, one tap valve, approximately 45 ft. of interconnecting pipe, and one dual Coriolis Meter Skid.
Vision will install an electric-powered natural gas compressor, an electric transformer, and an electrical building at the meter site as part of its RNG facility. In addition to the RNG facility, Vision will construct a high-density polyethylene pipeline to transport RNG from the RNG facility to the meter station, and a high-density polyethylene pipeline to transport fuel gas from the meter station to the RNG facility. Vision expects to begin construction Q2 2025.
