Construction has begun on the Berland River Compressor Station C3 Unit Addition, a project that includes the installation of a new 30 MW electric motor-driven compressor and aerial coolers immediately adjacent to the existing Berland River Compressor Station located northwest of Edson, Alberta, Canada. The new compressor is part of NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd.’s (NGTL’s) plans to increase gas transportation service on its existing natural gas pipeline system in Alberta to meet growing demand. NGTL filed an application with the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) in Q3 2023 and received CER approval in Q4 2023. The project has an anticipated in-service date of Q2 2026.
