Baker Hughes will acquire Continental Disc Corp. (CDC), a provider of safety-critical pressure management solutions. Headquartered in Liberty, Missouri, CDC designs and manufactures rupture discs, rupture disc holders, burst disc indicators, pressure- and vacuum-relief valves, flame and detonation arrestors, and related safety products.

With roots that trace back to 1965, CDC employs more than 300 people and operates from its 96,000 sq.ft. (8918 m2) headquarters and an array of offices around the globe.

“We are excited to enhance our industrial portfolio and expand our addressable market with the addition of CDC’s well-established critical pressure management solutions,” said Lorenzo Simonelli, chair and CEO of Baker Hughes. “Together with the recently announced SPC and PSI transactions, this acquisition sets the blueprint for our portfolio optimization strategy — focused on driving higher returns and creating long-term value for our shareholders.”

The US$540 million acquisition will be funded with cash on hand and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.
