Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC and Sabine Pass Liquefaction Stage V LLC (Sabine Pass), Sabine Crossing LLC (Sabine Crossing), and Cheniere Creole Trail Pipeline (Cheniere) have collectively filed an application with US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requesting authorization to site, construct, and operate the Sabine Pass Stage 5 Expansion Project, the Sabine Crossing Pipeline Project, and the Cheniere Expansion Project.
Sabine Pass Stage 5 Expansion Project
Sabine Pass has requested authorization to expand the existing Sabine Pass liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, by adding three new liquefaction trains (trains 7, 8, and 9), each with a maximum LNG liquefaction capacity of approximately 6 MTPA of LNG per train), and one boil-off gas re-liquefaction unit which will produce an additional 1 MTPA of liquefaction capacity for an overall LNG terminal production capacity of 19 MPTA.
Sabine Crossing Pipeline Project
Sabine Crossing has requested authorization to construct approximately 55 miles (88 km) of natural gas pipeline extending from the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal across Jefferson County, Texas, and then into Liberty County, Texas; construct the new Hampshire Compressor Station, consisting of four Solar Titan 350 turbine compressor packages each rated 52,500 hp (39,165 kW) compressor units for a total of 210,000 hp (156,600 kW); and various appurtenant facilities.
The Sabine Crossing system will be rated for a maximum allowable operating pressure of up to 1440 psi (99 bar) and will be capable of transporting up to 2.7 bcf/d (76.4 x 106 m3/d) of natural gas on a year-around firm basis to the SPLNG Terminal.
Cheniere Expansion Project
Cheniere has requested authorization to expand the existing Gillis Compressor Station by 46,940 hp (35,017 kW), by adding two 23,470 hp (17,508 kW) Solar Titan 350e turbine compressor packages in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana; construction the new 52,500 hp Solar Titan 350 turbine Tarpon Compressor Station, in Cameron Parish, Louisiana; and expand the existing meter and regulation station located within the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal to accommodate increased deliveries. The project will allow Cheniere to provide up to 0.9 bcf/d (25.4 x 106 m3/d) of incremental transportation capacity on Cheniere to the expanded delivery point at Sabine Pass LNG Terminal.
