KB Delta Inc., a global manufacturer of compressor valves and valve related products, has named Gregory Bailey as global consultant. Bailey joins KB Delta from Ariel Corp., where he served as director of aftermarket sales.
Bailey brings with him three decades of experience and proven leadership in the gas compression industry. During his tenure at Ariel, Bailey was instrumental in building and sustaining trusted relationships across the industry, particularly in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket sectors. His deep understanding of compressor parts logistics, customer support, and global distribution made him a cornerstone of Ariel’s growth in the aftermarket division.
In his new role at KB Delta, Bailey will be advising on strategic expansion into key global markets, supplier alignments, and customer service optimization.
“We are honored to welcome Gregory to the KB Delta team,” said George Giourof, chief executive officer at KB Delta. “His reputation speaks for itself — he’s respected around the globe for his integrity, technical knowledge, and unwavering dedication to customer success. His experience and guidance will be instrumental as we continue to grow our presence in both OEM and aftermarket segments. Gregory’s transition into this global consultancy role marks a natural next step following his recent retirement from Ariel, where partners, colleagues, and industry peers recognized his legacy of fostering positive, long-term relationships and win-win partnerships.”
This appointment aligns with the international growth strategy KB Delta embarked upon three years ago. In 2022, KB Delta announced an agreement with Burckhardt Compression (Burckhardt) in which Burckhardt became a worldwide distributor for KB Delta (see “A Perfect Fit,” March 2022 Gas Compression Magazine, p. 52). The partnership gave KB Delta access to new markets thanks to Burckhardt’s global sales network and instantly boosted its international presence (see “Partnership Leads To Growth,” March 2024 Gas Compression Magazine, p. 20).
Headquartered in Torrance, California, KB Delta designs and manufactures interchangeable OEM and aftermarket products such as metallic compressor valve plates and rings ranging from 1 to 15 in. (25.4 to 381 mm); high-performance thermoplastic compressor valve parts in PEEK (polyetheretherketone), carbon PEEK, mid temperature, and nylon, including X-Type materials. In addition to thermoplastic and metallic plates, KB Delta stocks essential compressor valve peripherals such as locknuts, center bolts/studs, guide pins, lift washers, springs, spring plates, guide rings, O-rings, gaskets, seats, guards, and complete valve assemblies.
“As a compressor parts manufacturer, we pride ourselves on having 100% interchangeable OEM and aftermarket products,” said Kevin Cain, vice president of operations at KB Delta. “Our in-house injection molding machines, exclusive molds, metallic laser cutters, CNC machines, proprietary equipment, and our attention to detail allow KB Delta to provide durable, abrasion resistant, and stress-free components worldwide. Bringing Gregory onboard is the next step in our strategic expansion into global markets. With his insight into both OEM and aftermarket dynamics, his involvement strengthens KB Delta’s ability to deliver compressor valve solutions to users worldwide.”
