Encore Oilfield Services LLC (Encore) has acquired Custom Compression Systems LLC (Custom Compression), a provider of gas compression equipment design, fabrication, and packaging. Based in New Iberia, Louisiana, Custom Compression serves both domestic and international markets, supporting onshore and offshore applications.
Founded in 1996, Custom Compression has operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Louisiana Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer for Louisiana. As part of the acquisition, Encore has partnered with Louisiana Machinery to supply 225,000 hp (167,850 kW) of Caterpillar natural gas engines for compression packaging.
Encore specializes in natural gas contract compression packaging and fabrication, offering custom, pre-engineered, and high-specification designs. As an authorized Ariel distributor and packager, Encore provides solutions for small, medium, and large horsepower applications across the oil and gas sector. The company also delivers a full suite of overhaul and machine shop services, ranging from preventive maintenance to complete zero-hour engine and compressor rebuilds.
Headquartered in Granbury, Texas, Encore maintains operations in New Mexico and Oklahoma. The addition of Custom Compression extends Encore’s footprint into Louisiana and brings substantial manufacturing capacity, including a 103,000 sq.ft. (9569 m2) facility equipped with two 80-ton (72.5 tonne) overhead cranes and 70-foot (21 m) eave heights — ideal for large-scale projects.
