Bidell Gas Compression (Bidell) has broken ground on a new 30,000 sq.ft. (2787 m2) facility in Weirton, West Virgina. The Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based company has had operations in Weirton since 2017, when it opened a 100,000-sq.ft. (9290 m2) fabrication plant.
Scheduled for completion in October, the new building will be used for compressor assembly, while the existing space will focus on fabrication.
Bidell designs, manufactures, and services reciprocating and rotary screw compression packages, vapor recovery units, power generation systems, and trailer-mounted and rental units. Bidell also offers in-house engineering, fabrication, retrofitting, parts supply, as well as maintenance and field service support. Its equipment utilized is throughout the entire value stream, in applications such as natural gas production, gas gathering and boosting, vapor recovery, power generation, and emissions control.
