Flowserve Corp., a provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, has acquired UK-based Greenray Turbine Solutions Ltd. (Greenray), a provider of aftermarket products and services for industrial gas turbines. Through this acquisition, Flowserve gains access to deep product expertise and a large installed base of mission-critical equipment.
Headquartered in Lincoln, England, with facilities in Aberdeen and Abu Dhabi, Greenray offers a comprehensive range of services for aero-derivate and light industrial gas turbine packages up to 60 MW, including the associated driven equipment.
Greenray is the OEM appointed service provider for Siemens Energy mature and legacy products and is the custodian of the original design specifications, drawings, and records.
In addition, Greenray provides OEM support for gas turbine package manufacturers including GEC Gas Turbines, English Electric, Associated Electrical Industries, and Ruston.
Greenray provides a wide range of support from basic ad-hoc callout maintenance through to comprehensive integrated maintenance packages and overhaul, for the gas turbine, associated driven unit, and balance of plant.
“Greenray has built a strong reputation for credibility and innovation in servicing gas turbines,” said Lamar Duhon, president of Flowserve Pumps Division. “Adding their unique capabilities to Flowserve gives us access to products that are complementary to our rotating equipment portfolio and critically important to power generation end markets across the globe.”
The acquisition, which was completed for a total of approximately US$72 million in cash, is Flowserve’s first M&A activity since its failed merger with Chart earlier this year. In June, Chart and Flowserve announced plans to create “a merger of equals.” In July, the deal was called off following Baker Hughes’ bid to acquire Chart (see “Baker Hughes Buys Chart,” September 2025 Gas Compression Magazine, p. 48).
Flowserve didn’t walk away empty handed, receiving a US$266 million termination payment.
