The 2019 Gas Compressor Short Course Committee awarded Ethan Hebel, Zachary Tallant, and Garrett Yeager scholarships to attend this year’s conference.
Held annually, the Gas Compressor Short Course offers the opportunity to learn diagnostic and repair techniques. While working in a lab setting, instructors demonstrate current methods on equipment. Participants receive a Certificate of Successful Course Completion from the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, 1.75 Continuing Education Units are provided upon verification of attendance in the 17.5 hours of class held during the conference.
Each year, three students enrolled in the Natural Gas Compression Program at Oklahoma State University’s Institute of Technology (OSUIT) are awarded scholarships to attend the conference at no cost. Students are selected by the OSUIT School of Energy Technologies, which includes programs in natural gas compression, pipeline integrity, and power plant technology.
