Blue Star Helium is moving forward with its Voyager helium development project in Las Animas County, Colorado. Blue Star signed a master service agreement with IACX Energy LLC (IACX) for the delivery and operation of a helium recovery plant. IACX Energy owns and operates gathering, compression, dehydration, NGL processing, condensate removal, and gas treating facilities. In addition to traditional midstream services, IACX also employs proprietary nitrogen rejection and helium recovery units.
The helium recovery plant will have a throughput of 2 MMscf/d (56 x 103 m3/d) to produce about 98% pure helium product gas, with first output expected in Q4 2023.
