Baker Hughes inaugurated its new Subsea Services Center of Excellence and manufacturing plant in Dusavik, near Stavanger, in Norway. The purpose-built 527,432-sq.ft. (49,000-m2) enhances the company’s ability to support the North Sea and global offshore energy sector’s adoption of subsea production systems and infrastructure.
The facility supports all phases of subsea projects, from manufacturing subsea production trees and wellheads to the comprehensive repair, maintenance, and upgrade of subsea equipment, including control systems. It also acts as the hub for offshore production services, enabling installation, intervention, and decommissioning activities.

The Dusavik facility features a 129,167-sq.ft. (12,000-m2) workshop, multiple testing bays, and the capability to recreate pressures up to 22,500 psi (15,513 bar), enabling Baker Hughes engineers to test equipment for the most demanding of subsea conditions.
