Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (TGP) has requested FERC approval for its Delta Blues Project. TGP wants to construct 2.35 miles of new 16-inch-diameter pipeline; a new compressor station (the Delta Blues Compressor Station); two new meter stations; and related appurtenant equipment, all located in Washington County, Mississippi. The project is fully subscribed to provide 160,000 dekatherms per day of firm transportation service to Entergy Mississippi’s Delta Blues Advanced Power Station, a new 754 MW combined-cycle power plant currently under construction.
The new compressor station will include installation of three natural gas-fired Waukesha P9394GSI-S5 reciprocating combustion engines rated at 2500 hp each; one new natural gas-fired emergency generator; storage tanks; and piping, valves, and appurtenant equipment.
