Gulfstream LNG Development LLC (Gulfstream LNG) is requesting FERC approval to site, construct, and operate a natural gas liquefaction and export facility in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. The Gulfstream LNG Project will convert domestically produced natural gas to LNG for local, regional, and international markets. Gulfstream LNG is developing the project with a capacity to produce approximately 4 MMTPA. The project will be constructed on an approximately 418 acre (169 ha) site located south of the town of Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

The project facilities will include two feed gas processing trains, three LNG trains each with an average base LNG production capacity of approximately 1.4 MTPA, one LNG storage tank designed store a nominal working volume of 200,000 m3 of LNG, two marine loading berths (one capable of receiving smaller barges and vessels and one capable of receiving large ocean-going LNG ships), and a 275-MW on-site power generation plant.

Each of the three Baker Hughes proprietary single mixed refrigerant process liquefaction trains will include an electric motor drive refrigerant compressor.
