CCL Stage IV and Cheniere Corpus Christi Pipeline (CCPL) are requesting FERC authorization for the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 4 Project (CCL Stage IV Project) and the CCPL Expansion Project.
CCL Stage IV requests authorization to expand the existing CCL liquefied natural gas (LNG) Terminal facility located in San Patricio and Nueces Counties, Texas, by adding four new liquefaction trains (trains 4, 5, 6, and 7), with a maximum LNG liquefaction capacity of approximately 24 MTPA; two 220,000 m3 LNG storage tanks; three ground flares; a third marine terminal that will accommodate LNG carrier vessels with cargo capacity up to approximately 200,000 m3; a terminal supply line; and associated infrastructure. The CCL Stage IV Project will increase the authorized vessels per year from 480 to 870.
CCPL requests authorization to construct approximately 25 miles (45-km) of 42-in. (106-cm) diameter natural gas pipeline in San Patricio County, Texas; construct the new Sinton 2 compressor station; two new meter stations; four mainline valves; and various appurtenant facilities.
The Sinton 2 compressor station will be located on a 21.4-acre (8.6 ha) site adjacent to the existing Sinton compressor station. The new station will include two 52,000-hp (38,792 kW) Solar Titan 350 gas turbine packages that include two gas aftercoolers; lube oil system; seal gas system; inlet filter; and turbine exhaust equipment.
